MIRAMAR, Fla. – An arrest was made Sunday following a police pursuit in Miramar.
It happened near Arcadia Drive and Miramar Parkway.
According to police, 27-year-old Czegory Vashawn Days fled on foot from a traffic stop but was quickly apprehended.
Officers said a 3-year-old was found in the vehicle, and that the child is safe and under the care of the Department of Children and Families.
Authorities did not indicate what relationship, if any, the child has with the suspect.
Jail records show Days is being held on one count each of fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, child neglect, driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest without violence and failure to register a motor vehicle.
Days appeared in court Monday, where he was granted bond on four of the six charges, totaling $35,500. However, one count was released on his own recognizance and another carries a no-bond hold.
He was also ordered to pre-trial release with a GPS ankle monitor and is prohibited from contacting the victim or driving.
