HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Cosmetic procedures are clearly advertised on social media by someone calling herself Dr. Victoria, but police say the business that was being run out of the second floor of office complex in the 1200 block of East Hallandale Beach Boulevard was bogus all because the operator was never licensed in the state of Florida.
Victoria Bronnikova is now in jail on a series of third degree felony charges, accused of operating the medical-style practice.
She had nothing to say to Local 10 News’ Terrell Forney after bonding out of jail on Wednesday.
Police said an undercover detective with the Hallandale Beach Police Department had posed as a potential customer and during a recent walk-in visit.
According to an arrest report, “Victoria offered the undercover investigator Botox injections without a prescription on forehead, eyes and in between eye eyebrows for $295.”
Bronnikova allegedly agreed to accept cash and was working on another patient at the time.
The 53-year old was arrested Tuesday and appeared before a judge earlier today on various charges of advertising and practicing medicine without a license.
On Instagram, Bronnikova boasts of having 25 years in the cosmetology field and 13 years of experience with injections, but police note that under Florida law, Botox injections are considered a medical practice and can only be given and/or supervised by a licensed doctor.
