Local officers collecting donations for Southern California wildfire victims

AVENTURA, Fla. – South Florida residents and visitors looking to support victims of the devastating Southern California wildfires can make a difference by donating at Aventura Mall.

North Miami Beach police officers will be accepting donations Wednesday in front of the Apple store from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The effort is part of a humanitarian relief drive organized in collaboration with the Florida Highway Patrol, several other law enforcement agencies, Global Empowerment Mission and Mobile Mike Public Relations.

The drive aims to provide much-needed relief to those affected by the wildfires that have left many displaced and in need of basic supplies.
