During Ms. Blue’s time at Oriole Elementary, a Title I school, its overall grade from the school district went from a “D” to a “B.”
“Ms. Blue exemplifies servant leadership. She supports, guides and cares for all who she leads, staff, parents and students,” said K. Peeples, a staff member.
Every Wednesday at 7 p.m., she reads books to her students using the school’s Facebook page. Even during the summer break.
Blue is also a nominee for the Broward County Public Schools Principal of the Year for 2025.
Her students also say she has had an incredible impact on their everyday lives, even providing meals for needy families.
“Ms. Blue is amazing! She reminds us that when we get up out of bed, we represent our family, school, and community in everything that we do! She never lets us forget that…We are Orioles and we SOAR!” said one student.
