Davie man accused of pointing gun in Key Largo road rage incident

KEY LARGO, Fla. – A 39-year-old Davie man is facing a felony charge in the Florida Keys after deputies said he pointed a gun at two people during a road rage incident on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Edward Domes followed the two victims into the Key Largo Kampground & Marina, located at 101551 Overseas Highway, at a “high rate of speed” at around 2 p.m. and “then drove recklessly before brandishing a handgun and stating he would kill both victims while all were in the check-in lane.”

Authorities said the 9 mm pistol was loaded. However, Domes didn’t open fire, they said.

Deputies arrested Domes on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and improper exhibition of a firearm.

According to jail records, he was being held in MCSO’s Key West jail facility on a $35,000 bond as of Wednesday morning.
