KENDALL, Fla. – A 35-year-old man was arrested last week following an incident with a minor inside a Ross Dress for Less store in Miami-Dade County’s Kendall area, authorities said.

According to the suspect’s arrest report, the incident occurred back on June 21 at the Ross at 14840 N. Kendall Drive.

Miami-Dade police said the victim, whose age was not disclosed in the arrest report, was told by other shoppers that they saw a man using a medical syringe to place an “unknown liquid” on the buttocks area of her jean shorts before filming her.

The witnesses then reported the incident to employees of the store before the suspect fled the scene, authorities said.

According to the report, the incident was captured on surveillance video and police were eventually able to identify the suspect as Sean Edward Uribe, of west Miami-Dade, after a Miami-Dade police detective was assigned to another case in which the modus operandi was consistent with the incident that occurred in June.

Police said Uribe was also wearing the same Miami Dolphins cap during both incidents.

According to the report, a search warrant was executed at Uribe’s home in west Miami-Dade on Thursday where detectives found three medical syringes containing a “viscus white liquid, consistent with semen.”

Police said the clothes worn by Uribe, as seen in the surveillance video, were also found inside his bedroom.

Uribe was then arrested on charges of battery and battery of a child involving bodily fluids.

As of Monday, Uribe was still being held at the Metrowest Detention Center.
