MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Miami Beach police are investigating after a woman who had been shot was discovered Tuesday morning on the westbound shoulder of the Julia Tuttle Causeway (Interstate 195).
According to MBPD spokesman Christopher Bess, the woman had been shot multiple times.
He said she was transported by Miami Beach Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where she is listed in critical condition.
Sky 10 flew over the Julia Tuttle Causeway on Tuesday morning, where investigators had several lanes shut down as they searched for evidence.
It’s still unclear where the shooting actually occurred.
No other details were immediately released.
