MIAMI – A woman was caught on cellphone video trying to dodge accountability in a big way after police said she crashed her BMW convertible into a Popeyes restaurant in Miami.

According to Miami police, the crash happened at around 7 a.m. Sunday at the chain’s location at 5534 NW Seventh Ave. in Liberty City. Police said the crash happened during rainy weather.

“Can you get me out of here, please? I can’t get charged with that,” the woman is heard saying in the cellphone video. “I can’t go to jail, I can’t go to jail. I won’t last there.”

No serious injuries were reported in the crash.

The minute-and-a-half video also shows bystanders encouraging the woman to run off.

“You better run and leave the car,” someone is heard saying. “Run, leave the car! F--- the keys, come and leave the car.”

Police said they did not see any signs of intoxication.

The woman, who has not been publicly identified, was cited for driving too fast for conditions and careless driving.
