MIAMI – Two people were taken into custody Tuesday following a carjacking in Miami, authorities confirmed.
According to Miami police Officer Kiara Delva, officers responded to the area of Northwest Eighth Avenue and 69th Street around 1:30 p.m.

She said the police department’s Tactical Robbery Units eventually located the black BMW that had been stolen shortly before two people got inside.
The suspects then fled from detectives before bailing out of the vehicle, Delva said.
She said the two suspects have since been detained in northwest Miami-Dade.
No injuries were reported.
The suspects’ identities have not yet been released.
