AVENTURA, Fla. – Authorities responded to a yacht fire in Miami-Dade County early Sunday morning.
It was reported as an explosion at approximately 6 a.m. in Aventura’s Williams Island community.
Upon arrival, first responders said they found an 85-foot yacht with heavy smoke coming from the vessel.
The fire was quickly contained to the front area of the boat and extinguished.
No injuries were reported and no one was on board at the time, authorities said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. It is believed that the cause was not suspicious.
