HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – South Florida is feeling the impact from Hurricane Ian as the entire region is under a Tropical Storm Warning.
There is also a tornado and flood watch in effect.
One area that is very prone to flooding is Hollywood, where there are caution signs for flooded streets in many places across the city.
Water pumps have been working around the clock to help with the expected increase in rainfall.
Residents in Hollywood say these neighborhoods flood in a smaller storm as it is, so Hurricane Ian is not welcome.
The storm remains pretty far away but it still is forecast to impact the area.
Pump trucks have quickly been making rounds in Hollywood, spotted off South 13th Street and Monroe Street.
Residents say they’re just thankful this is not a direct hit.
