POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – The Broward County Sheriff's Office is searching for two men who were caught on surveillance video fighting a mob outside a Pompano Beach gas station Saturday.
About two hours after the fight the men returned to the gas station and opened fire on the mob, deputies said.
One person was injured as a result of the shooting at the Port Five Star Food Mart, located in the 590 block of Northwest 15th Street.
The incident happened after two men and a woman arrived at the gas station in a Ford Expedition with chrome and black wheel at about 1:15 a.m., a media release said.
The two men got into a verbal dispute with a man on a bike, and a physical altercation began, deputies said.
The conflict went on for about 15 minutes and ended when two men and the woman left, deputies said.
At about 2:45 a.m., the Expedition returned to the location and its occupants fired three times into the crowd, deputies said. The car then fled east on Northwest 15th Street.
Jordan Nelson was shot once in each thigh as a result of the shooting, deputies said.
The 22-year-old was treated at Broward Health North.
Deputies are searching for two men in connection to this incident.
