MIAMI ā A man was shot and killed late Monday when he refused to give his cell phone to two teenagers, Miami police said.
The shooting happened at 282 NE 54th Street about 11:30 p.m.
Gregory Cooper and another teenager held 54-year-old Jerry Sherrell at gunpoint after seeing him with a cell phone, police said.
When Sherrell resisted, the second teenager shot him several times, police said. Sherrell was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he died.
Police arrested Cooper, 16, afterwards. He is charged with first-degree murder.
