MIAMI – Miami-Dade schools have canceled classes on Thursday and Friday, following Broward County schools which previously announced they would keep students home on Thursday and Friday.
Broward and Miami-Dade County school systems have called off all Wednesday after-school activities.

Miami-Dade Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said that all teachers and students should be out of schools by 3 p.m. Wednesday.
"The safety of our students and our employees is absolutely our top priority," Broward Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie said at a Broward County press conference. "We want to make sure they're in a safe position as we move through this process."
Palm Beach County schools will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Monroe County schools remain open.
After-school activities are been canceled in Palm Beach County beginning Wednesday.
