HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – All lanes of Florida's Turnpike were closed Wednesday morning because of a vehicle fire.
Firefighters were dousing the charred vehicle with water in the northbound lanes near Hollywood Boulevard.

Local 10 News traffic reporter Nicole Perez said all lanes were initially closed, but they have since reopened.
Traffic was backed up for miles in both directions while the lanes were closed.
Perez advised drivers to use U.S. Highway 441 as an alternate route.
Details about the vehicle fire were not immediately known.
