The Florida Panthers selected Owen Tippett with the 10th overall pick in the NHL draft.

CHICAGO – The Florida Panthers used the 10th pick of the NHL draft Friday night in Chicago to snatch-up right wing Owen Tippett, who is considered the best natural scorer in the 2017 draft.

Analysts also say the 18-year-old Canadian has the best shot in this year's draft.

General Manager Dale Tallon said of Tippett, "he is a dynamic and highly talented winger who was among the top goal scorers in the Ontario Hockey League this season."

"Owen is an excellent skater," said Tallon "with an NHL-caliber shot. He will be an exciting addition to our young core for years to come."
