PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A woman who claims to have leaked the video showing former Miami Dolphins assistant coach Chris Foerster apparently snorting cocaine said she did so to showcase how "white privilege" exists in the NFL.
"He resigned, right? So if he was a black coach, do you think he would have been fired or would he have been given the option to resign?" Kijuana Nig'e told KTNV in Las Vegas.
Nig'e said she decided to release the damning video because of the NFL's "inequalities" when it comes to the treatment of players who have chosen to kneel instead of stand during the national anthem. She mentioned former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who is currently out of the league.
"It's kind of like a white privilege, if you want to be honest about it," she said. "It's a white privilege when you compare the two. You get one person get in trouble over an anthem when you have a coach who probably can't even sing along because he's so high."
Nig'e claimed that she was dating Foerster and that he sent her the video two days after they broke up. She said she was advised by her attorney to avoid discussing the drug that Foerster was using.
"Have I seen him do cocaine myself?" she said. "I have."
Nig'e, who also intends to be interviewed for "Dr. Phil," said Foerster sent her other videos and pictures.
"We're going to leave that for 'Dr. Phil,'" Nig'e said.
However, she said they are "partying pictures with other women, other drugs."
Foerster resigned Monday, less than 24 hours after the video spread on social media.
"I am resigning from my position with the Miami Dolphins and accept full responsibility for my actions," Foerster said in a statement. "I want to apologize to the organization and my sole focus is on getting the help that I need with the support of my family and medical professionals."
Nig'e said the fact that Foerster wasn't fired helps to make her point.
"I've never heard of anybody being able to resign when they're a cokehead," she said.
Nig'e said Foerster threatened her with an "NFL cleanup squad" if she didn't delete the photos and videos and that she feared for her life.
She claimed that Foerster wanted her to move to Miami, but their relationship ended when he told her that his wife found out. She said he previously told her that he was divorced.
Nig'e wouldn't say how long they were together, but she said it was "for a good amount of time."
But the timeline seems to contradict the story she told KTNV about how they met when the Dolphins flew to California ahead of Hurricane Irma in preparation for their game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Nig'e claimed that the offensive line coach was high during the games.
"Yes. Every one. Every single one," she said.
The one-time self-proclaimed "entertainer" said she is now pregnant, but she declined to say whether the baby was his.
"We'll make a beautiful baby, wouldn't we?" she added.
Nig'e, who said she hasn't spoken to Foerster since the video was released, said her intent was never to get him fired.
"I want him to get help," she said.
