OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – A woman was found dead inside an Oakland Park apartment Tuesday.
Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Dani Moschella said deputies were called to a burglary at the Bridgewater Place apartments, 2800 NW 44th St., about 3:30 a.m.
Since the caller didn't provide an apartment number, deputies went door-to-door looking for evidence of a crime, Moschella said.
Deputies eventually came upon an open sliding-glass door at a first-floor apartment.
"They leaned in, they called into the apartment (and) they got no response," Moschella said.
When deputies searched the apartment, they found the body of a woman inside. Her identity hasn't been released.
BSO homicide detectives are calling the death suspicious. They haven't said how the woman was killed.
