MIAMI – Authorities are investigating after an elderly woman was nearly sexually assaulted by a man who entered her home while she was alone, Miami police said.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the 2600 block of Southwest 32nd Court.

Detectives said the woman was in her home when she was startled by a man who walked toward her from the living room area, as she went about her daily chores.
The woman, who had left her front door open to let fresh air inside the house, claimed the man forced himself on her in an attempt to sexually assault her, according to Miami police.
In fear, the woman shouted and freed herself from the man. After a struggle, the man fled in an unknown direction, police said. He was last seen in the area of 26th Street and 32nd Avenue.
The woman's alleged attacker was described by Miami police as a black man in his 20s to early 30s who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and has a slim build, black long-braided hair and big brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red tank top, dark shorts, black tennis shoes and a fingerless glove on his left hand.
