Woman goes home with man she met at Hard Rock, steals 2 watches, police say

Man says woman began acting aggressively in condo

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Hallandale Beach police are looking for a woman who they said went home with a man after a night at a casino, only to steal two pricey watches from him.

The man, who only wanted to be identified as Gary, said he met the woman Saturday night at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. Later that night, the pair went back to his apartment at 2100 Atlantic Shores Blvd. Surveillance video from the building captured images of them walking inside.

Gary said the woman asked for a drink.

"I gave her some vodka," he said.

Gary said the woman began acting aggressively and persuaded him to drink out of her glass. He believes he was drugged.

"After that, that’s all I remember. I was out," Gary said.

Police said the woman stole the gold Rolex watch from his wrist and another watch in his bedroom. The watches were both worth $55,700, police said.

"I wake up in the morning at 10:30 in the morning (when) my phone rang," Gary said. "My watch is gone off my wrist."

Police describe the suspect as 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, in her late 20s, with dark hair and dark eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
