KEY LARGO, Fla. – A woman accused of pretending to be the daughter of someone from the corporate offices of the Tom Thumb convenience store in Key Largo and taking off with cash and cigarettes last month was found in Ohio.
Kristy Eiler, 34, of Hamilton, Ohio, was arrested April 25 and charged with grand theft and fraud.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, someone called the Tom Thumb store on April 3, pretending to be from the company's corporate office.
Deputies said the caller said he would send someone over to pick up cash to pay an invoice, along with cartons of cigarettes.
Deputies said Eiler was seen on surveillance video coming into the store later in the day and leaving with the merchandise and cash. They said she told the clerk that she was the daughter of the man who called.
The clerk later checked with the store manager, who said the corporate office would never send someone over to pick up cash and cigarettes, and called authorities.
Deputies said surveillance cameras captured Eiler's license plate tag, which led them to her in Ohio.
Eiler will be brought to Monroe County to face the charges against her.
