GRANITE SHOALS, Texas – A woman in Texas learned the hard way that you can't always believe everything you read, even if it's from the police.
The Granite Shoals Police Department used its Facebook page to say that methamphetamine and heroin in the area may have been contaminated with the Ebola virus.

The post, which has since been taken down, read "If you have recently purchased meth or heroin in Central Texas, please take it to the local police or sheriff department so it can be screened with a special device."
The warning continued with stern instructions.
"DO NOT us it until it has been properly checked for Ebola contamination!" is how the post concluded.
While the police claimed the post was just a joke, one woman concerned over her drug stash took it seriously and was soon wearing handcuffs and behind bars.
The San-Antonio Express News reports that Chastity Eugina Hopson, 29, was arrested after she contacted police, believing that her meth could be contaminated with Ebola.
The police department later posted that Hopson was their "first concerned citizen" and that officers "gladly took the item for further testing."
Hopson was booked and held on $5,000 bond.
