Two injured after crashing into Broward Sheriff's Office car

Deputy was attempting to make a traffic stop during West Park crash

A Broward Sheriffs Office deputy was following a truck when it collided with another vehicle in West Park Thursday, police said. (WPLG-LOCAL 10 LIANE MOREJON)

WEST PARK – A Broward Sheriff's Office deputy was following a truck when it collided with another vehicle in West Park Thursday, police said.

The crash left two seriously injured. Rescue took them to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. The deputy was not injured, but was also taken to Memorial as a precaution.

The deputy was traveling northbound on 46 Avenue. The driver of a white pickup truck was traveling westbound on 26 Street. The collision sent the pickup rolling. The crash remains under investigation.
