MIAMI – The schools reporting the most fighting incidents during the 2013 to 2014 school year were in high-crime neighborhoods, records show.
According to NeighborhoodScout's analysis of FBI and U.S. Department data, the chances of becoming a victim of crime in the vicinity of the 12 schools was higher than the state's average.

In Florida, 1 out of 32 was likely to become a crime victim, according to the analysis. The nation's most dangerous neighborhood was East St. Louis' City Center, where 1 out of 10 was likely to become a victim.
Cutler Bay, Homestead and Miami Gardens have a high assault rate, according to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports. And a violent gang war has plagued inner-city Miami for decades. Zoe Pound, one of the most violent gangs in the east coast was born in Miami's Little Haiti.
Records show that some of the public schools in these high-crime neighborhoods reported most of the fighting incidents in the state during the 2013-2014 school year.
