HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for the person who killed a 38-year-old Homestead man in February.
Alfredo Maestre was discovered Feb. 7 on the side of Southwest 360th Street with a gunshot wound to his upper torso, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Maestre's recently purchased 2016 Yamaha all-terrain vehicle was missing, but it was later found, police said.
The investigation into the shooting led detectives to a witness who heard gunshots about 2:30 p.m. on the day of Maestre's death, police said. The shooter has yet to be identified.
Miami-Dade police are asking for anyone who has information about the shooting to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
