DALLAS – All around the city of Dallas are signs that something is wrong.
Three days after a shooting that claimed the lives of five officers, FBI agents are still combing through several square city blocks.
Investigators are marking hundreds of bullet holes and shell casings, photographing evidence, and doing a full forensic sweep on a big part of a big city.
As many mourn the fallen officers and pray for the several other officers recover from their gunshot wounds, police patrol the area on high alert after threats were made against the Dallas Police Department.
"People are a little fearful right now," Dallas Fraternal Order of Police President Michael Walton said. "They're trying to get to where they were before this, before Thursday night."
Dallas police announced Saturday that anonymous threats were made that the department was taking very seriously. Â
SWAT teams moved in and shut down the area after reports of a suspicious man lurking around the parking garage behind headquarters.
An officer set up on an adjacent rooftop as other officers hid behind cars and trees.
After an intense search effort, the all-clear was given, but it was a painful reminder to those visiting a memorial for the slain officers a few steps away.Â
