MIRAMAR, Fla. – A fire destroyed a Miramar barn where several animals were reportedly trapped inside.
The fire started shortly after 6:30 p.m. at Southwest 132nd Avenue and County Line Road.
Neighbors used their cellphones to capture the intense flames.
A Miramar Fire-Rescue Department spokesman said someone called 911 to report that there were four dogs and a cat inside.
However, neighbors said they only remember seeing a dog living on the property.
Neighbors told Local 10 News they were fearful the flames would spread.
Firefighters said it took hours to get the flames under control.
There were no reports of any people or animals with injuries.
