MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County school bus driver is in critical condition after collapsing while transporting students to class.
According to a bus attendant, the unnamed driver was not feeling well and pulled the bus over to the side of the road. Shortly before 9 am, the driver collapsed after attempting to stand up.

The attendant said she was unable to help the driver as he had fallen in the well between the steps and the door.
Miami Fire Rescue units removed the driver from the bus and began to perform CPR.
The driver, said to be in his 50's, was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Two students from Ponce de Leon Middle School were on the bus when the driver collapsed, but were not injured.
