MIRAMAR, Fla. – A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue safety inspector was arrested Tuesday on domestic violence charges.
Police went to Jeffrey Arnold Fulmore's home in Miramar after his girlfriend called 911 and hung up.

According to the arrest report, the victim told police she had called 911 because she and Fulmore, 48, were having an argument when he pushed her.
Police observed a swollen right wrist and golf-ball-sized bruises on her left arm. Officers said the victim claimed she received those injuries during an altercation with Fulmore the day before.
The victim also told police about another incident that happened Aug. 29. She said she confronted Fulmore about a rent payment, and Fulmore picked her up by her throat. Officers said they did not see any redness around her neck, possibly because of the time delay in reporting the incident.
Fulmore denied touching the victim and told police her injuries were a result of boxes falling on her at work.
Fulmore and his girlfriend were alone in their home when the alleged attacks occurred.
The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department released a statement saying Fulmore, who has been employed there since October 1998, has "been relieved of duty pending the final determination of charges."
