Man uses baseball bat to smash window in road-rage incident

Shirtless man spits on car before driving off

PINECREST, Fla. – A cellphone video captured a road-rage incident Saturday in Pinecrest.

The video shows a shirtless man hitting a car, which was stopped at a red light, with a baseball bat along South Dixie Highway and Southwest 128th Street at about 3 p.m.

An unknown man is seen hitting the driver's side of the black car a few times, then breaking the rear window and spitting on the car before walking away. The man then gets into a vehicle and drives off.

A witness who didn't want to be identified told Local 10 News reporter Andrew Perez that the man with the bat had a dog in the car. The witness said he didn't know what prompted the incident, but he said the man drove away in a Honda Civic and left.

Those who watched the video had plenty to say about it.

"He should have maybe, like, controlled himself better," one man said.

Another man said it could have ended worse for the bat-wielding attacker.

"I got my son in my car. He comes to my car -- I've got a concealed weapons license -- I'm going to put one in him," he said.

Witnesses called police, but no arrests have been made.
