MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A 49-year-old man was medically evacuated Thursday off the coast of Marquesas Keys.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, the fisherman began experiencing shortness of breath 13 nautical miles north of Marquesas Keys.

The Coast Guard said an MH-65 helicopter crew was launched to transport the man to urgent medical care after consulting with a duty flight surgeon.
The man was hoisted from the scene and transported to Key West International Airport, where emergency medical services were waiting for him.
Details on the man's condition were not released.
