MIAMI – After Fidel Castro's death, Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado sent a message to both President Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump.
Regalado, 69, said in a statement that he called on Obama and Trump to "demand real changes from the Cuban regime, on behalf of many Cubans who have died in the U.S. and in Cuba waiting for this day and for freedom."
Regalado, who was born in Havana, said he joined the two million members of the Cuban diaspora in the U.S. and the millions inside the island in the celebration.
"For 57 years, Fidel Castro has been the symbol of tyranny and oppression of our people," Regalado said.
