Bus catches on fire on Interstate 95 in Miami

Firefighters treat woman after bus fire

MIAMI – Despite the Saturday winter chill, bus passengers were complaining about feeling hot. The driver turned on the air conditioner. Then it smelled like something was burning. 

The bus was on fire on Interstate 95 in Miami. The driver stopped and rushed to use the fire extinguisher. Everyone got out of the bus on side of the express lanes near 62nd Street. 

The passengers of the privately owned bus were traveling from the Miami International Airport to Port Miami.

A paramedic treated a woman for smoke inhalation. 

The Saturday afternoon incident caused traffic delays. Another bus arrived to take the passengers to their destination.
