Mexico City men accused of sexually victimizing teen boy in cruise ship sauna

MIAMI – Two Mexican nationals are facing charges in South Florida after they were both accused of sexually victimizing a 14-year-old boy on a Miami-bound cruise ship.

According to arrest reports from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, Ricardo Daniel Mondragon Leal, 37, and Jose Juan Prudencio Diaz, 36, reside at the same address in Mexico City.

The reports state that the crimes happened Thursday while the two were in the sauna of Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas.

Deputies said Prudencio Diaz exposed himself and masturbated in front of the boy, while forcing the boy to touch him.

They said Mondragon Leal also masturbated in front of the teen and forced him to perform oral sex. Deputies said he also performed oral sex on the victim.

They were arrested after the ship returned to PortMiami on Friday.

Both men face charges of lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child and lewd and lascivious molestation of a child.

Prudencio Diaz additionally faces a charge of sex with a victim without informing them of his HIV status and is being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Mondragon Leal is also facing a count of child sexual battery and is being held in the Metrowest Detention Center.

Both were being jailed without bond and on immigration holds, jail records show.
