MIAMI – A 55-year-old woman from the Dominican Republic was behind bars on Monday after a detective arrested her at Miami International Airport.

Carmen Rosa Solislerqux, a swimming instructor from Santo Domingo, was in line at MIA when she said she had a bomb in her bag, according to deputies.

A detective removed Solislerqux from the line, detained her, and separated her three bags before questioning her, according to deputies.

“I was only joking,” Solislerqux told the detective, according to a Miami-Dade deputy’s report.

Deputies did not find a bomb in her bags, but a detective did arrest Solislerqux for confessing to the false report at MIA’s Terminal D on Sunday, according to the report.

County inmate records show correctional deputies booked Solislerqux shortly after midnight on Monday morning at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Solislerqux faced a charge of false report concerning planting a bomb, an explosive, or a weapon of mass destruction, or concerning the use of firearms in a violent manner, a second-degree felony.
