FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā Local 10's Jen Herrera rappelled down the side of a Fort Lauderdale Beach hotel Friday all for a good cause.
With the help of a harness and other safety gear, the adventurous news anchor slinked 14 stories down the side of the swanky B Ocean hotel to raise money for Gilda's Club South Florida, a cancer support organization named after the late "Saturday Night Live" star, Gilda Radner.
Broward County Commissioner Chip LaMarca also participated in the charity event.
Jessica Shein, a spokeswoman for the event, said $70, 266 was raised Friday.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, 49 other people will also rappel down the building in support of Gilda's Club.
