MIAMI – In the market for some prime real estate? There's a $65 million mansion for sale. La Brisa in Coconut Grove is a big piece of paradise that could be yours.
Local 10's Todd Tongen was given a chance to take a tour inside to see what $65 million will buy you.

The fully restored historic 1920s mansion in Coconut Grove is the most expensive home on the market in Miami-Dade County, with an asking price of $65 million.

One of the first settlers of Coconut Grove, author Kirk Monroe, purchased the property in 1886. The lush foliage on the 6.9-acre lot has been here for ages, and it has been incorporated in and around the home.
The mansion itself was built in 1920 by the same architect that built Viscaya, but the 94-year-old estate is a pricey property not just because of it's historical significance but its size and location.
"You can easily, comfortably throw a party with 250 people here and no one is going to be bouncing into each other," Pierce said.
Hurricane Andrew nearly destroyed the home and for years it sat abandoned and dilapidated until its present owner restored it to its former splendor. It also has a guest cottage and the backyard leads to a private hammock reserve.
A long wooden walkway takes you straight out to Biscayne Bay where you can enjoy the view. Not many properties have 207 feet right on the water.
A private port off Biscayne Bay can easily accommodate a 70-foot yacht and the 13,803-square-foot home boasts two fireplaces, a billiards room with full bar and an observation tower with a spectacular view.
