MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Police are investigating after a man driving a Ferrari crashed into a Miami Beach home.
Miami Beach police said the driver of the 2014 Ferrari 458 Spyder lost control while traveling on wet roads about 5 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle traveled across Alton Road onto a property at 6311 LaGorce Drive, striking the home's porch and a tree.
Juan Fernandez, who lives inside the home, told Local 10 News he and his wife woke up to the sound of the crash. Fernandez said the driver had to crawl out of the car but was able to talk to police.Â
"The Ferrari was right there in front of the house, it was smoking," Fernandez said. "I didn't know what to expect, I was in shock myself."
No one was hurt.Â
The driver was cited, but police said there were no signs of impairment.
Fernandez said significant damage was caused to the house.
"It's a big damage -- took out the railings from the front, took out the porch, basically that whole section has to remodeled," Fernandez said. "I am just glad he is alive."
