MIAMI DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A northwest Miami-Dade County home went up in flames early Tuesday morning.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was called to the house near Northwest 81st Street and Northwest Eighth Avenue just after 6 a.m.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lt. Felipe Lay said the fire was discovered when a police officer was putting gas in his cruiser at the Miami-Dade Police Department's Northside Police Station.
Lay said there were no people or animals inside the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
