MIAMI ā Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is sticking by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Rubio claims that he is standing by Trump because he dislikes Hillary Clinton more than he disapproves of the multi-millionaire's controversial remarks made during a 2005 off-camera recording.
"I have never hesitated to oppose his policies I disagree with," Rubio said in a statement. "And I have consistently rejected his offensive rhetoric and behavior. I disagree with him on many things, but I disagree with his opponent on virtually everything."
Rubio went on to say he was selecting from the only options that are available to the country.
"I wish we had better choices for president," Rubio said. "But I do not want Hillary Clinton to be our next president. And therefore my position has not changed."
Many Republicans have attempted to distance themselves from Trump after Friday's release of the tape in which the candidate bragged about assaulting women.
