FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – An overturned dump truck blocked traffic at the Interstate 95-Interstate 595 interchange during the lunchtime drive Monday.
The crash occurred shortly before noon Monday on the southbound I-95 on-ramp to westbound I-595.

Sky 10 was above the interchange as the truck could be seen on its side with debris scattered across the on-ramp.
Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky said the driver, identified as Rene Perez, 49, of Miami, was not injured. He was cited for careless driving.
Traffic was diverted from southbound I-95 to eastbound I-595 while cleanup crews worked to remove the debris.
The ramp reopened about 2:30 p.m.
