PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. – A passenger on the Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas cruise ship captured video of the ship's crew rescuing seven Cubans who were on a small raft Saturday.
Officials had to make two trips to the migrants' yellow raft.

While there was a Coast Guard helicopter flying above, the cruise ship, out of Port Canaveral, was the party who handled the rescue.
"The ship's excellent rescue team coordinated with the U.S. Coast Guard to rescue and render aid to the starved and dehydrated refugees aboard the raft," Desiree Stovall said. "We were later informed that they had been out to sea for 10 days with nothing but small amounts of water and crackers. Overall, they were in good shape and eventually were released to the Coast Guard once they were treated, fed and clothed."
