Eileen Doukakis, 30, faces charges of robbery with a deadly weapon and criminal conspiracy.

According to a Hollywood police report, Doukakis called a man from her neighborhood last month and asked him to help her move some things out of her apartment. When the man arrived and Doukakis opened the door, he noticed that the inside of the apartment was dark and had nothing in it.

But there was someone else inside. A man armed with a machete lunged out of the apartment and grabbed the man, trying to pull him inside, police said.

A struggle ensued between the man and the machete-wielding attacker, later identified by police as Jerry Charles.

During the struggle, Doukakis held a "large dog" by a leash and tried to get the dog to bite the man, police said.

Charles grabbed the man's wallet and, while pulling on it, about $40 in cash fell to the ground, police said. Doukakis picked up the cash while Charles continued to struggle with the man, police said.

As the fight spilled out into the courtyard, the man broke free, so Charles swung the machete, cutting the man in his arm, police said.

The man ran away and called police.

Doukakis was arrested Tuesday after the man identified her from a photographic lineup, police said.

Charles was arrested a few days after the incident. He faces charges of aggravated battery and armed robbery with a deadly weapon.
