Police identify suspect wanted in connection with Metrorail station homicide

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police identified a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing at a Metrorail station as Rashad Davis, 30.

The stabbing was reported just after midnight July 10 at the Northside Metrorail Station at 3150 NW 79th St.

Police said officers arrived and found the victim, Eliener Vivar, 37, in the parking lot, suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials pronounced Vivar dead at the scene.

Investigators said they identified Davis as the suspect after following several leads in the case.

Authorities said Davis, who is wanted on a second-degree murder charge, should be considered armed and dangerous. 

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
