LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Police have identified the suspected gunman in a fatal shooting outside of a Lauderhill fish market.
Lauderhill police are continuing their search for Trace Walker, who is wanted on a murder charge.
Police said surveillance video appears to show Walker, 26, running up to and shooting Gary Wallock Monday at the Lobster and Seafood Warehouse.
Wallock, 34, was shot 13 times. He was pronounced dead after police and paramedics arrived at the scene.
Wallock's girlfriend was also with him, but she escaped the gunfire.
Police said they are searching for Walker and a getaway driver, who left the scene in a blue 2010 Nissan Altima with dark-tinted windows.
The license plate number is identified as EZX F13.
Wallock's aunt told Local 10 News reporter Sanela Sabovic that she does not believe that Wallock knew Walker because of their age difference, and believes that Walker was hired by someone to kill her nephew.
"It's sad (and) heartbroking to know your loved one is gone, but if this guy has any decency in him, I pray that he turns himself in," Valdene Beckford said.
Relatives said Wallock is survived by a 5-year-old child.
Anyone with information on Walker's whereabouts is asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS or Detective Chad Williams at 954-747-4615.
