A victim's mother said her 9-year-old son told her "the guy in the ice cream truck told him he could get in the van and help him give out ice cream to the kids in the neihborhood."

The boy told police officers that the man unlocked the van's door to let him in, locked the door, assaulted him and gave him free ice cream to keep him quiet before letting him go Oct. 22. Detectives believe he has done it before.

They were investigating a second alleged assault reported to have happened Oct. 25. Authorities were searching for Rahmah and his red Ford van. The ice cream truck has pictures of Popsicles on the side and back and has a North Carolina tag PCZ-3617.

Investigators were asking anyone with information to call 919-560-4440 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
