HIALEAH GARDENS, Fla. – A Miami Lakes man was arrested Monday after he raped a 13-year-old girl, authorities said.
According to an arrest report, Kevin Thomas Bares, 20, asked the victim to perform oral sex on him Saturday in Hialeah Gardens after he learned that the girl had taken five hydrocodone pills, which had caused her to feel ill.

The girl, who police said is friends with Bares, agreed, the report said.
Authorities said Bares raped the girl after she performed oral sex on him.
Bares was arrested Monday on charges of sexual battery on a minor and lewd and lascivious battery.
Authorities said Bares confessed to raping the teenager.
