MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was found shot to death Friday morning in the middle of Northwest 27th Avenue.
Miami-Dade police said they are investigating a shooting death on Northwest 27th Avenue near Northwest 93rd Street.

Local 10 News reporter Layron Livingston went to the scene and saw that the body was covered by a yellow tarp.
Police markers indicate that several shell casings were found at the scene.
A witness, whose home surveillance footage is being reviewed by detectives, told Livingston that he saw several people down the sidewalk sometime before 5 a.m.
He said one person started running across the street and then he heard six to seven gunshots.
He said he saw one person fall to the ground.
Family and friends of the victim identified her as Chayvis Reed. Police originally identified the victim as a man, but she was later determined to be transgender.
Authorities said the shooter fled the scene and has not been found.
A motive for the shooting is unknown.
Northwest 27th Avenue was closed in the area during the investigation.
