DORAL, Fla. – A man accused of raping a woman and stealing her car in northwest Miami-Dade County has been arrested.
Calvin Thomas, 43, was arrested Thursday morning and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Miami-Dade police said Thomas raped a woman early Monday morning before stealing her gray 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer.
According to an arrest report, Thomas punched the woman in her face and told her to get in the back seat and get undressed.
Police said Thomas raped the woman and then told her to get dressed. Police said Thomas drove away while she sat in the front passenger seat and then told her to get out before he sped away.
Thomas faces charges of battery, sexual battery, carjacking and infecting another with HIV.
