MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A model and an accomplice tried to extort $18,000 from a social media star and marketing guru who lives in Miami Beach, police said.
Julieanna Gooddard, 26, better known as YesJulz, the "queen of Snapchat," said Hencha Voigt, a model from Broward County, threatened to release sexually explicit photos and videos of her unless she paid in cash.
Voigt, 28, of Hollywood, worked with Wesley Victor, 33, of Plantation, police said.
Victor told Gooddard that he was able to get the photos and videos from her cell phone and they were ready to post them on social media.
"18k cash there [sic] on usb you can have them back as I said you dope chick," Victor said in a text message, according to police. "I like your movement look if I feel any fun business game over your choice."
Gooddard had 24 hours to comply. She contacted police and agreed to a meeting at 11 p.m., July 21, at 40 Island Ave., in South Beach. Miami Beach police showed up. Voigt and Victor -- who had the phone used to contact Gooddard -- were arrested and charged with extortion.
"Energy is powerful," Goddard said Wednesday on Twitter. "Try being positive when you are mad and see how it changes the outcome of your situation."
She also re-tweeted a photographer who said, "Don't mess with the Queen."
